Terms of Service

Last Updated: June 2026

By requesting an estimate or hiring Premier Painting ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully to ensure a smooth and successful project.

1. Estimates and Scope of Work

  • Validity: All written estimates provided by Premier Painting are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue.
  • Hidden Damage: Estimates are based on visual inspections. If unforeseen issues are discovered during preparation (e.g., rotting wood, severe drywall damage, or previous lead paint), Premier Painting reserves the right to halt work and issue a revised estimate for the necessary repairs before proceeding.
  • Scope Creep: Any additional work requested by the client that is not explicitly outlined in the original written estimate will be billed as a Change Order and may result in additional charges and timeline extensions.

2. Client Responsibilities

  • Site Preparation: Unless explicitly included in the estimate, clients are responsible for removing all fragile items, electronics, wall hangings, and window treatments from the work area prior to our arrival.
  • Pets and Minors: For safety reasons, pets and minors must be kept clear of the active work area, tools, and wet paint at all times.
  • Access: The client must ensure our crew has reasonable access to the property, electricity, and running water during agreed-upon working hours.

3. Payment Terms

A standard deposit (typically 25-30%, as outlined in your specific quote) is required to secure your project dates on our calendar and purchase materials.

The remaining balance is due strictly upon completion of the project and final walk-through. Late payments may be subject to a standard late fee as permitted by Ontario law.

4. Workmanship Guarantee

Premier Painting takes pride in our craftsmanship. We guarantee our labor against peeling and blistering resulting from improper application for a period of two (2) years. This guarantee does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, fading, or chalking.
  • Damage caused by structural settling, moisture intrusion, roof leaks, or extreme weather conditions.
  • Painted surfaces that are walked on (e.g., decks, floors) or heavily touched (e.g., handrails).

5. Limitation of Liability

While we take extreme care in protecting your property, Premier Painting is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our maximum liability is limited to the total cost of the services provided under the specific contract.
